Simon Clift
Simon Clift is a Co-Founder of Achray Cyber Security Corporation. He started his career by writing the analytical core of a statistical market analysis system for the investment banking division of UBS in Zűrich. He adapted the techniques to track sub-alert level anomalies in their global, multi-site commercial foreign exchange system, one of the worlds largest by trade volume. His nearly 40 years of software engineering and implementation experience have been applied to statistical applications in finance and system monitoring at institutions in Switzerland, France and Canada. He has led the development of three commercially deployed statistical AI trading systems, two substantial product pricing and risk engines, and contributed to three enterprise statistical risk management systems. Simon has published research in stochastic control and high performance computing. He holds a Ph.d. from the Cheriton School of Computer Science, at the University of Waterloo, where he specialized in algorithms for efficient calculations using non-linear, multi-factor stochastic models.
David Menikefs
David Menikefs is a Co-Founder of Achray Capital Corporation. He has over twenty years of capital markets experience, most recently at Scotiabank where he was Managing Director and Head of Global Equity Derivatives and Structured Notes. His responsibilities included running sales, trading and structuring across the equity derivatives business lines in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Latin America, Europe and Asia. David has a proven track record of building and running successful businesses while managing the complex risks associated with various product lines. He had oversight of a team of approximately 50 people across the globe. David was responsible for the development and expansion of several new business opportunities including the creation of the multi-asset structured notes and Equity Linked GIC businesses at Scotiabank. Prior to his career at Scotiabank, he held increasingly senior sales and trading positions at CIBC and RBC. David graduated with a BSc Honours (Electrical Engineering) in 1990 and a MBA in 1993. Both degrees were earned at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. He is a member of the CFA Institute and has held the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in good standing since 1996.
